Chang, Yuanshang

Yuanshang Chang was enrolled in the Ph.D. program of Material Science and Engineering Department of UCLA in 2014. He graduated the Bachelor Program of Mechanical Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan. He is now doing research advised by Professor Ali Mosleh and Professor Jenn-Ming Yang on polymer degradation in radiation environment. The goal of this project is to develop a probabilistic prediction model based on time-to-failure analyses.

Diaconeasa, Mihai

Mihai Diaconeasa is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department since 2014. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from University College Utrecht, the international undergraduate honors college of Utrecht University, the Netherlands and his M.S. in Nuclear Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While exploring potential research avenues in probabilistic risk assessment for nuclear power plants with Professor Michael Golay of MIT, they encountered Professor Mosleh's work in dynamic probabilistic risk assessment and eventually transferred to UCLA in order to further their collaboration.
