When Kent Hansen and Mujid Kazimi contacted me to talk at a symposium honoring Norm Rasmussen, I had two immediate reactions-this is one of the easiest assignments I have ever had-this is one of the most difficult assignments I have ever had.

Easy because nothing is more simple than talking about someone you admire and respect. Difficult because how is it possible to do justice to representing the importance of Norm's work to the energy business, nuclear energy in particular, and how is it possible to get across the real story of my "association with Norm." Adding to the difficulty is having to follow Dr. Schlesinger and Professor Bìrkhofer.
