This year, Data Day is a partnership between the UCLA Center for SMART Health and UCLA Health Information Technology.  This symposium will highlight innovations in data science as well as UCLA Health's data analytics and research compute capabilities. Our goal is to help analysts, researchers, and other stakeholders across the organization gain new insights from data assets.

The UCLA Health Data Day and Center for SMART Health Symposium will include talks and panels on:

  • Data-driven innovation in biomedical research and healthcare;

  • Ethics and bias in data science; and

  • Health AI in Action

In addition, during the event we will be awarding the annual Hearst Health-UCLA Center for SMART Health Prize in Data Science. A keynote speech will be given by Dr. Michael Pfeffer, CIO & Associate Dean, Technology and Digital Solutions for the Stanford School of Medicine.

The event will conclude with a Data Project Expo highlighting the Office of Health Informatics and Analytics (OHIA) data products.
