Dr. Heraldo Rozas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Chile and an Associate Researcher at the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, as well as B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Chile. Previously, he was a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech, working with the PAIS Lab and NASA’s Habitat Optimized for Missions of Exploration Space Technology Research Institute (HOME STRI).

His research focuses on transforming data into actionable decisions for industrial applications, including predictive maintenance, spare parts logistics, electromobility, batteries, and power systems. His work combines predictive analytics and optimization under uncertainty. He has received multiple distinctions such as INFORMS ENRE student best paper award, IISE DAIS best student paper award (co-author), and multiple teaching awards from the Department of Electrical Engineering.
